Jenna Auger

PRESIDENT

Jenna is currently a fourth year undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning student. Jenna has over a year of planning experience working in the public sector in a variety of planning disciplines, such as Urban Design, Transportation, and Environmental Planning. Jenna is passionate about working with people, creating a sustainable environment, and providing equitable opportunities for all.

Amarjot Dhanjal

VP ACADEMICS

Amarjot is a second year undergraduate student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. His interests surround environmental studies and transportation generally. Outside of school, Amarjot is interested in the arts and sports. He looks forward to help create change within the community to create a more exciting environment.

Joshua Cugini

VP ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS

Josh is a fourth year undergraduate student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. He is passionate about sustainability, environmental planning, land use, and municipal law. He has previous hands-on experience in planning working for a non-profit housing provider. His ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on communities and create a better and more equitable future for all.

Genevieve Albuerne

VP COMMUNICATIONS

Genevieve is a third year PLAN student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. Her planning interests lie in urban design, public policy, and housing. Outside of school, Genevieve enjoys dancing and reading. With her passion for design, Genevieve is excited to work as the Vice President of Communications this year. She also looks forward to delivering many events and opportunities with the team.

Abraham Russom

VP ETHICS, DIVERSITY + INCLUSION

Abraham is a fourth year Urban and Regional Planning student in the undergraduate program. Abraham’s planning interests currently lie in Urban Design and creating architecturally designed spaces. Outside of school and work, Abraham enjoys playing and watching soccer. As Vice President of Ethics, Diversity, and Inclusion, Abraham looks forward to further connecting with the School of Urban and Regional Planning students to voice their comments and concerns. 

Zane Oueja

VP FINANCE

Zane is a fourth year undergraduate student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. His main interest is transportation planning, with side interests in housing, municipal governance, and policy. He has had experience as a public sector intern at the Township of Georgian Bluffs and the City of Toronto. Outside of school, Zane enjoys drawing maps, reading about history and geopolitics, and taking the subway for fun. He is very excited to work with the wider TMAPS team to help deliver this year’s events.

Amina Rizvi

VP OUTREACH

Amina is currently a third year Urban and Regional Planning student in the undergraduate program. Amina is passionate about Urban Design and Transportation Planning. When Amina is away from school and work activities, she enjoys creating different types of art. Amina looks forward to communicating with stakeholders interested in collaborating with TMAPS this year and is excited to meet new people in the program. 

Christopher Petrou

VP SOCIAL AFFAIRS

Chris is currently finishing his final year of the undergrad program at the Urban and Regional Planning program. Chris has a variety of planning interests, most notably environmental planning and social planning. Chris is super excited to share all the events that he has planned in collaboration with the team and looks forward to an amazing year.

3RD YEAR REPRESENTATIVE

Kenda is a third year Urban and Regional Planning student in the undergraduate program. Kenda is passionate about community planning and transportation planning. Kenda enjoys researching architectural pieces from around the world. She also enjoys reading as a hobby. This year, Kenda hopes to engage and learn from other professionals while being on the TMAPS team.

 

Franziska Forsythe

2ND YEAR REPRESENTATIVE

Franziska is currently a second-year undergraduate student at the School of Urban and Regional
Planning. Her planning interests include sustainability and urban design. Outside of school, she enjoys
traveling, reading, and creating art. Franziska looks forward to working with other members of the
TMAPS team, to meet new people within the program, and to help create an exciting and productive
environment within the planning program.

 

Smaran (Sam) Narayan

1ST YEAR REPRESENTATIVE

Sam is a first year undergraduate student studying Urban and Regional Planning. He is extremely passionate about sensible and equitable planning, particularly in the fields of housing and transportation planning. He has significant leadership experience from being part of the student council as well as Model United Nations. Sam’s primary goal is to represent all of his peers, as well as make a positive impact on his surrounding community. 

 

Jennifer Chantler

PLAD/PLAB REPRESENTATIVE

Jennifer is a 3rd year PLAB student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. She has an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Guelph. She is currently enrolled in the Certificate of Community Engagement, Leadership, and Development through the Chang School of Continuing Education. Jennifer hopes to work within the Planning industry to address homelessness and the affordable housing crisis. During her time between classes, she enjoys cross-stitching, reading, and playing with her two kids and her chocolate labrador. Jennifer looks forward to bridging the gap between the regular stream undergraduate program and the PLAD/PLAB program.

Talha Umar

OPPI REPRESENTATIVE

Talha is a third-year undergraduate student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. Talha’s passion lies in the intersection of Landscape Architecture and Planning, Ecological/Green Infrastructure, Affordable housing and Urban Design. If he’s not on campus, he’s usually watching basketball or a movie/TV show that might be new to him. Talha is eager to be the student face for the OPPI and become the bridge for students to learn how being part of the OPPI can help you as a student.

Karian Chen

CIP REPRESENTATIVE

Karian is a third-year student in the PLAB program at the School of Urban and Regional Planning. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design, she wants to use design to bring people together in the ever-growing global family. Outside the academic realm, she enjoys tending to her pollinator garden. Karian looks forward to serving as the bridge between the CIP and the TMU planning students.

Tomas Castillo

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE

2nd Year Undergraduate in Urban and Regional Planning  (PLAN), interested in sustainable planning, housing development, and public transport.

Jolina Bunda

DIRECTOR OF MERCHANDISE

Jolina is currently a fourth year Urban and Regional Planning Student in the undergraduate program at TMU. Jolina’s planning interests lie in social planning, environmental planning and housing. Outside of school Jolina enjoys playing games, reading and trying new foods. Jolina is so excited to be a part of this team and is looking forward to creating new merchandise for everyone in the program.
