RULES

Here are some simplified yet essential guidelines set forth by FCSS for the upcoming election. For a more comprehensive understanding of these rules, please consult the FCSS Election Procedures.

  • Nomination: Candidates must submit a completed nomination form, accompanied by a minimum of two signatures from students enrolled in the School of Urban & Regional Planning. The deadline for submission is March 22NOMINATION FORM CAN BE ACCESSED HERE.

  • Election Materials: All campaign materials must adhere to the FCSS Equity, Diversity, & Community Inclusion Policy. Content that is deemed offensive will not be tolerated. The policy can be found HERE.

  • Display Rules: The placement and display of election materials must be in compliance with Toronto Metropolitan University’s policies, specifically the guidelines outlined in the section labeled “POSTERS”. The relevant policies can be found HERE.

  • Campaign Material Approval: Candidates are obligated to secure approval for their campaign materials through FCSS prior to public release. Failure to obtain such approval may result in disqualification.

  • Respect for Other Candidates: Under no circumstances should a candidate deface or interfere with another candidate’s election materials.
